With a background in design and project management, I set up Lara Parnell Weddings in 2016. Since then I’ve worked with couples all across Bristol, Bath, the Cotswolds, the South West and the UK. You can find out more about why I have the best job ever here.

During my time as a floral and wedding stylist I’ve had the privilege to work at some amazing venues. Some of my favourites include the gorgeously intimate Tracy Park, Coombe Lodge which is beautiful inside and out, the majestic Grittleton House, and Kingscote Barn – a perfect rustic venue with storybook views.

Simply put, I artfully combine spectacular floral arrangements and carefully curated decor and props, transforming the blank canvas of your wedding venue into the backdrop of your dreams.

What sets me apart from florists and venue stylists is that I bring together two different but complementary skill sets. Hire me and you get my extensive expertise as a florist combined with a beautiful eye for dressing a room, wrapped up in my perfectionism and meticulous attention to detail. So instead of hiring a florist to create your floral arrangements and a separate wedding stylist to dress your venue on the day, you get both of these roles in one enthusiastic and experienced floral and wedding stylist. (Me!)

I’ll help you discover the flowers and decorations that will bring your cherished ideas to life. We’ll work together to create a bespoke look for your wedding, selecting flowers and decorations that express your personality and style as a couple as well as complementing your venue.

Flowers are naturally the biggest part of my styling service. This includes bouquets and buttonholes for the wedding party, plus luxurious floral decorations for your venue such as centrepieces and big focal point installations – think floral clouds, arches, floating chandeliers. These bespoke arrangements will be beautifully complemented by decor such as linen, candlesticks, vases and other props.

On your wedding day, I’ll be there to set up and dress your venue, pulling together the different elements of your wedding’s aesthetic and ensuring they all dovetail perfectly.

I love being such a big part of my couples’ wedding days – and I guarantee I’ll be as excited as you are because I’m so invested in making your day the best it can possibly be.

Your experience of planning your wedding will be part of the memories you take away from the day. A big part of my mission is to make that experience a good one. The lead-up to your wedding should create memories that – if I have anything to do with them – you’ll cherish for the rest of your lives together.

I have a comprehensive selection of decorations and props, the use of which is included in my fee. So you won’t need to buy your own decorations, helping you to save money and making your wedding that touch more sustainable too.

I put my heart into creating beautiful weddings for my clients. When I do a room reveal, I know I’ve done my job properly when my couples get tears in their eyes. The first time this happened was early on in my career and it was a truly defining moment – knowing that I’d made someone so happy they were crying tears of joy. And to think it all started with a Pinterest board!
